Hi there,
First post here
I have just picked up an old Elektra Beckum site saw which was sold as faulty. The switch wasnt working.
I switched it on to see and right enough it didnt turn over. I did however get the feeling something had been activate in the switch and when pressing the red off switch the blade did seem to oscillate backwards and forwards very slightly.
Taking apart the original switch I see there is quite a lot going on. I bought a NVR ON/OFF E-stop switch as I understood it was common practise to change over older type switches to NVR but I see motor has 5 wires from it, Brown, blue, earth and two black. The yourtube wiring video i'm looking at is for 3 wires.
My questions are:
Q1 Can I use a modern NVR as pictured and if so where do the black wires go?
Q2 If this NVR is not sutiable where should I look to diagnose the issues and repair, replace?
Q3 Could it be that the solenoid is at fault?
