Am advertising this on behalf of my local men's shed - working machine with good 310mm beds however as is common with these machines the rubber on the thicknesser drive roller has perished, other than that as a surfacer it is fine and has a large and rigid fence which I have used many times to true up 2-side railway sleeper size beech slabs.
This planer has small slots in the blades that whilst allowing easy height adjustment vie some small screws means that replacement blades go for silly money.
These blades have been sharpened once at a local sharpening shop (Haydons - since last year they are shutting up shop..) so have plenty of life left in them.
From what I have researched there are outfits that will fit new rubbers to the roller but have no idea as to viability nor cost.
