Hi Best and easiest way is to buy a length of 75 x 75mm pressure treated Arris rail cut 4 pieces to fit your four corners then screw 3 or 4 decking screws from both sides to fix the arris rail to your 6x2. Or use oak sleepers for a proper job !
Good... except for the oak sleepers? I'll be dead before them!

Did mine simply by clamping together and screwing together with the screws at an angle using screwfix 75mmTimberdeck screws at 500mm spacings on each side. A pilot hole on one board helps. Quickest and cheapest way.
No movement in 2 years.

6x2 boards @sawdust1 ?
+1 to deckscrews, makes sense (and cheaper than stainless :) )

Hi, A couple of ideas come to mind. We used to socket screw using countersunk screws to pull the edge together but that was for lighter work I must admit. Another idea is to rout out/say.1/4inch through the length of the timber and loose tongue it with ally or steel tongues. Screw or bolt through the tongue. Cheers,John on the Wirral
