Just bought one of these from Poolewood.
Seems to have plenty of suck, clears my planer/thicknesser with ease - ye it's made in China but the motor looks half decent. The box weighed a bit but when it's assembled it's quiet easy to move around. All I have to do now is get me self some more ducting.

That looks like a clone of the Axi ADE2200.
The thng is it's £100 cheaper
Looking at the specs the Fox claims to have a more powerful motor and more suck.
Interestingly, they do a bigger one (F50-843) that is a clone of the Jet that Axi sell (DC1900A), and claim it has half as much suck again, and is £230 cheaper

Thats come up before here Trousers and I'm stretching my memory here but apparently thats the measurement by fox with the bags off so its a little naughty of them.

i use the same extractor and iv never had a problem yet.. it does block from time to time tho.. the 4" inlet port just infront of the fan has 4 metal bars inside it which i think are suppose to seperate the shavings but they sometimes get in the way.

The axminster one worked out more as it would incur a delivery charge due to weight, I managed to get mine free shipping so it ended about £20 cheaper.
You can remove the grill on the inlet if you know 100% only shavings will be going up it. I vac the floor with mine and small lumps of wood go up mine, if they're to big the grill stops them.
The thing I like is the steel fan, I used to have a sheppach and it had a plastic fan that got eaten away slowly as bits were chipped from it.

I did a test on it by sucking some planer shavings up it from the floor, a 3 foot high pile I'd been collecting, ram'd the pipe straight in and it only took it a few seconds to eat the lot (3/4 bag full) i was well impressed.

Only down side is - if you also suck up the drawings from customers it shreds them a bit.

The Grille over the motor fan is there to stop you putting you hand in while the fan is still rotating which it does for a while after turning the power off. I does run down very quietly and it easy to forget when doing a maintenance job on it.
Cutting it out does solve the problem of large shaving blocking the inlet
but BEWARE!!!
