Hi I've decided to go for a felder AF22 extractor :)
Now in the past i have had trouble with the dust from my bandsaw ( a Kity) the extraction point at the bottom seems a good spot but its only about 70mm and it never really worked.
will the extra suction of the felder cure this or are there any better ideas for a dust hood or something out there

Mike - off topic, but the AF22 is in the Christmas specials at a discount at the moment!

Thanks mate!

Tried downloading the pdf twice---- errors both times!

damn this is the strangest site!

Mike is it the Kity 613?. I have found that most of the dust ends up on the otherside from the outlet. I have been thinking of connecting another 100mm to that side. I also have a 1 1/4" connected to above the table.

Don't forget if you want 0.5 micron filtering you'll need the cartridge type filter (optional extra).

BTW, the price of everything went up 4% +vat on the 1st Nov 06. Even on the special deals :(

Think about a curved piece of thin plastic below the table with a slot cut in it till half way that the blade runs through, the top of the curve should be parallel to the underside of the table, the bottom of the curve should be vertical to the bottom of the table, then place your dust collector nozzle as near to the bottom of the plastic as you can get it.

Works a treat, you need to replace the plastic every now and then (I use a free folder I got from T Mobile) and I fixed it to a piece of wood which is fixed to the mechanism.
This is a trick that fellow UKW member Houtslager showed me
