Thanks everyone for your advice and guidance. Some of the pieces are inspirational.

Mcluma...am I right in saying that there is no need for the rebate to come all the way to the front of the drawer? If that were so then there would be no need for a separate front piece..which I'd like to avoid.

Your right, in that assumption, the only reasin i did it to the front was that I did the rebate on the table saw, (took me an awfull long time - as we have no Dado blades here :lol: )

But you can do them with the router and then you can stop well short of the front
