The memory of my dad chasing her down the road with the still steaming coil on the end of a shovel shouting 'you've left this behind' will stay with me all my days; as it happens we never saw her again.

My Aunt Mary who used to live at the back end of Bispham, Blackpool. Had the same situation with a dog c r a pping outside her gate on the path every day. She waited one day when the was due. She shot out of the door with a coal shovel, scooped it uo and called to the woman that she had dropped something and slid it gently into her shopping bag.
