Does anyone know intended the use of this plane from Glasgow?
Unusual profile. I am thinking perhaps some type of sash plane... (?)
The fence only moves about 1/2" or so...

Interesting - it looks like it will cut a chamfered dado.

It may be this was more of a Scottish style?
Approximate dates 1828-1875
