I'm not sure if I'm being a bit thick here but I need to take a 3 part full extension drawer slide apart. The screws fixing it to the cabinet have worked loose and are causing it to catch and scrape. To tighten the screws I need to get the other two bits of the drawer slide off. One part comes off easily when the drawer is removed leaving the part attached to the cabinet and the middle piece of the slider. How do I get the middle bit off the bit still attached to the cabinet. It needs to come off as its hiding the screw heads. Nowhere are any holes in the middle bit that will line up with the screw heads to allow me to do it without taking it apart. Can't see any release catches or anything like I moved to release the drawer. Any ideas?

That plastic thing sticking up from the bottom isn't it some form of a catch?
Or will it tilt and come off at some point of its travel?

Pete, the plastic bit just left of middle on the bottom is the catch that releases the part attached to the drawer. It doesn,t engage with anything on the part fixed to the cabinet.

I've tried wiggling, tilting, pulling etc and cant get it off. Is that the normal way to release the middle part from the part fixed to the cabinet, I've no idea what is "normal"?

The slide has to be in exactly the right position then comes off sideways, just about. Rubbish design, avoid.
Thanks for reading
