in view of niki's comments noticed that TCHIBO yes the coffee
people have some for 10 quid in their shops still, at that price,
they are a steal for the kind of magic that niki has shown is
possible.

know they are not all over england, but they have a web site
www.tchibo.co.uk may be worth checking out.

their electrical stuff generally has a 3 year warranty.
and in my experience their stuff is good quality. :)

also the latest issue of FINE HOMEBUILDING, the companion to
FWW is a building tips issue 215 tips for
decks and porches, painting and prep, drywall repairs,
finish carpentry and cabinets, mainly inbuilts.
i have mine saved, but it is available from www.magazinecafe.co.uk
don't know about postage, but mag is £4.50.

some interesting and useful tips for trimming round doors, and skirtings
(baseboards).

paul

lidl also have some interesting things this week and next.

this week they have a paper/card guillotine A4 capability.
also they have some hobby vices and a small bench workvice,
interesting.

next week, various diy, and pet things. notice a mixing rod
drill attachment, at 1.99 each, they have to be worth the risk.
there is an aluminium sealant gun also at 1.99, plus
those handle units for when you are putting up plaster board
on the ceiling, 4.99 each plus they have a ladder which
folds up at 39.99 each.

this from 20 july, they all deserve a look, if only for those
tuits in the house we never get round too.

Hi Paul
I ahve just had a look at TCHIBO and they have sold out of the calipers  ,
They do sell out of things like this very quickly some times

Yes please :D as I have been thinking about getting one for while
Ps NO need to get the bits from the US that I was looking to get as they should be on they way ( got a very good deal from the guy that own's it ).
He is have 20% off at the moment :D

You could also try Aldi as they have some similar looking calipers at GBP8.99 (see "Sunday Special Buys"). Not sure if they have the same 3 year guarantee as Tchibo, but worth a look. There's also a few other cheap DIY/woodwork type things there, including what looks to be a well priced set of mini drawers.

The two digital calipers (at this price you can afford to leave them lying about!) we bought from Lidl at about £9 last year are going strong and are as accurate as my old vernier.

Hi all,

I do not know if anyone is still looking for these digital calipers.

I bought one yesterday at my nearest Lidl - unbelievable they have approx 20 of these still in stock. I take it that it does not sell well in the Feltham branch.

Seem OK for the price of less than £10.

Cheers.
