After what must be decades I finally managed to secure a Dewalt 788 UK model
One thing I was surprised by is the size , Its huge and ask my back how heavy it is 56 lbs
Here are a few photos , I have included a mug ( No not me ) in the photos
You can see it says UK on the ID sticker and also says Type 1 Made in Canada so it's 1st generation

I was at first very concerned at what looked like rust on the table , However it's not rust it is formica fitted onto the bed ( Early versions had this ) for 2 reasons to stop the bed rusting and makes the bed slippery for moving your work around on

Built in air blower fully adjustable , Hold down foot , Not sure I will use this

Am I happy , You bet , as said I have been after one of these for a considerable amount of years , HAPPY DAYS
Just need to give it a wash and brush up and a wipe over with some anti viros cloths then it should be good to go .
