This sycamore bowl is 10" wide, painstakingly textured and carved, coloured with acrylics and finished in a gloss laquer. The pictures are a bit poo

Not usually a fan of coloured pieces but I am warming to them. This is an exceptional piece. The time and patience that has gone into this is great Well done =D> =D> =D>

Johnny, is there anything you can't tackle ? that puts most of us to shame both in quality and speed of your skill development.

It's a star.

You have really got into this decorative work haven't you? And found your niche. Lovely work again though I am not personally ken on the legs, Enough going on for me without the extra material and texture of the brass. Personal taste though as they are also well done, just not my taste

i think this is fantastic, love the combination of natural, textured and painted, they all fit together so well, reminds me of 'Glowing embers'

well done mate...

This is just fantastic. I love the way you have textured the Bowl to look like Bark was that your aim. The fact that you have made the marks deep just makes this look special.
What did you use to make the textured surface.
Well done JT.

lovely work

not sure about the legs
minor gripe - the rim of the inner bowl looks a touch chunky

Apt description Glowing Embers I like it upside down as a piece in its own right

It compliments the piece.

Thanks for all the comments 8) The legs are necessary on this piece to give it lift and show off the decorated bottom better, far too much work to leave the bottom close to the ground and out of sight

Cheers JT

Another Winner Johnny !!

Maybe legs are a but skinny ?
