Cutting a nail in half

After sawing some firewood I discovered I had done this

With not a trace left on the other piece. I've done a four inch nail like that with a chainsaw- it didn't even blunt the chain.

I usually wait until I have a brand new blade in my saw before doing this. :roll:

I found a bullet in a piece of teak once!

I found a musket ball in a large piece of pine.

This was why i stopped cutting secondhand wood for people, "I have checked it for nails" 50% of the time i would then spot one or another 25% of the time the saw blade would find one.
There is that special expensive whang sound when the carbide tips go through a nail.
