Cut Opening In sketchup

I was hoping to cut an opening in a wall with a window component but it doesn't seem to work.

Is this because my wall is not just a face but has a thickness?

Mike, you can make a component cut an opening in a single face but it won't do two faces. You can create an opening manually instead if you like, though.
