With the end of the decorating in sight now, I've just put up the first of the curtain poles, which I hate doing 'cos invariably I have to drill into a concrete lintel  ...but what's even more infuriating is that when I do a count up of the rings, there's an odd number supplied and it's not the first time it's happened. Homebase really do know how to pi$$ a bloke off...vino needed.

Homebase have only peed me off the once, i don't use them anymore.
Rich.

I got some kitchen flat packs and some bits was missing, the lad just opened a new box and takes the bits out but then seals the missing box up to sell.
I will not expose the warehouse as this may harm the Promotion of the lad to manager.

It's worth getting an SDS drill for that sort of thing. You can get them quite cheaply these days.

Cheers

Hanging the pole a man thing

But hanging the curtains is a woman thing, at least we got that one right at our house

grr I have had endless trouble with curtain poles in the past. So much so that in the new house we have real wood Venetian blinds throughout (fitted by the supplier).
