Hi

I am making some workshop cupboards, typical kitchen unit size 600mm and 1200mm wide.

I was thinking of making the doors from 15mm MDF and routing the edges with a profile. is MDF a suitable material l for doors re the sustainability of securing the hinges and is tendancy to bend

What sort of hinges are you proposing to use? If you will be using concealed hinges, then 18mm MDF would be better.

Cheers

Hi John

I'm with Paul.

I buy in vinyl wrap doors @ 18mm thick which I drill for blum hinges. It needs the thickness to fit them properly
