'Crucifix' pen clip - help?

Hi David,

You're quite right that I asked about the clip fitting 7mm tubes. Having had this confirmed I attempted to purchase via your website and the postage added automatically was £4.50, which I thought a little steep. I do however appreciate that this is a 'standard' charge, and there will be winners as well as losers. (As it happens my day job is I.T. and I wrote our 'costing' system which takes into account not just total order price, but weight and volume as well.)

I had then intended to email you back and suggest that you might like to put one in a standard envelope with a second class stamp on it, (see my earlier post regarding 'common sense'), which it sounds like you would gladly have done. However, in the meantime another forum member looking for a couple of other clips sent me a PM and offered to share the p&p, have all three delivered to him and post mine on to me, which I agreed to happily.

Maybe when Malc, aka 'The Shark' places his order for three clips (unless already done) you can do us a 'special' on the p&p? You can either reply here or PM me if you prefer. Hopefully Malc will be following this thread, or I can let him know what you think.

I'd like to add that I've bought stuff from you before, been completely satisifed and would happily use you again.

Have been reading the last few posts with interest.

David, I ordered 3 clips via your website yesterday before you posted your thread. 2 are for me, 1 for Neil.
As already stated, P&P was automatically added at £4.50

If you could see a way of reducing this standard P&P, it would be appreciated - an envelope and stamp will do fine

Got home today to find an envelope containing all the clips. Quick service!
Even better, there was reduced P&P.

As a newbie woodturner, I shall definitely consider using Turners Retreat in the future.

David, I too have had good service in the past from you/your company, in a couple of instances following enquiries at a show regarding specific small pieces, the subsequent arrival of the wanted bits, sometimes in multiple packages (different dates at your additional postage cost) has been appreciated.

I have however baulked a couple of times on sorting a 'basket' out to find the web minimum postage cost of £4.50 or such (+vat on it) added to the cost out of proportion to the goods.
