Courier Recommendation, Please

I need a courier to collect a largish parcel from Liverpool and deliver it to me in Essex.

Does anyone have a recommendation for me please?

Stick it on Shiply.com - I'm in the process of having a Tig Welder collected from Tring and delivered to me in Yorkshire for around £30.

http://www.parcel2go.com/ I have used them a few times, usually DHL are the best/cheapest via parcel2go. They come and collect and you can track the parcel.

As others have said ..parcel2go if it's a reasonably weight/size...the parcel2go website will tell you.

If it's heavier, larger ...aka Mike has treated himself to a nice Wadkin...then my own experience is good with palletforce. Not that impressed with Shipley...see my other thread on the Sedgwick. I have a contact with palletforce if you need it Mike

I use P2G a lot and they're ok. I had some problems with them about 5yrs ago but since they've been fine. In fact I had a pick up today, a parcel heading to Cornwall

As dibs says, stick it on shiply and hopefully you'll get a few good bids, it won't cost you anything to try.

I tried parcel2go after recommendations on here. The first time the package went astray and they were hopeless (and I wasn't DHL's client, so it was a nightmare. I got another quote from them more recently but found it was about 30% (or was it 50%?) more expensive than just going direct through the DHL website.

As a matter of interest, I got a quote from Parcels2Go of £97.50, (not DHL, incidentally, this time), and the bidding on Shiply is down to £45 already. I'll leave it until 10.00 to make a decision..........it may be less by then.

I think Shiply is your best bet with large heavy items.

It was an A1 plotter, chaps........and Shiply were excellent. It cost £40, and was picked up and dropped off exactly when agreed, and with 2 or 3 phone calls from the courier to confirm arrangenments.
