Sorry couldn't think of a reasonable title.

For whatever reason I have been trying to find the dimension, across flats, of a nut to fit an M8 thread. I came across this:-

If you should happen to look you will find it offers conversions of most engineering type units along with on-line calculations.

Hi,

I have some M8 nuts that are 12mm AF not the standard 13mm, exaust clamps on my motorbike.

You're right of course Pete, the correct spanner is the one that fits. However late evening I couldn't be bothered to try and find an M8 nut in the garage.
