Convert a pinned blade

Hi all. Is it feasible to grind off the pins from pinned blades to make them pinless? I can't find any pinless locally, so will be ordering online, but will this work in the meantime to practice with?

Yes. It will work. The pinned blades are the same length as the pinless ones. They will keep you going till you get a stock of pinless blades.

Sometimes you can just hold the blade over a almost closed vice for support and just tap the pin out.
