Considering on line buy of router at Axminster power tool

Hi !

I am new to this forum (Danish woodworker).

Since there is some money to spare I am thinking about buying a DeWalt router from Axminster power tool centre.

Does anyone have any experience buying from Axminster power tool centre, i.e. how is the service etc. ?.

I cannot comment on their support for overseas buyers, but I have been a fan of Axminster for many years and their pre and post sales technical support is excellent. Search this forum, there are many example historic threads.

Hi,

from my experience axminster service is top notch. I'm located in Portugal and I've bought a jet tablesaw from them back in April. after one month of use the motor faulted.
i called them reporting the problem and they've sent me a replacement motor with free delivery in a couple of days.

I'm located in Norway and use Axminster far more than any other supplier, either local or in the UK. Have only positive things to say about their service and export routines.
However, for ordering from outside the UK you may want to also consider MTMC who have even better export routines where you can complete the whole deal online whereas an e-mail or two is sometimes necessary with Axminster.

i cant comment on over seas sale as i live about a 45Min's away from axminster , i have bought many tools from them and will buy i hope many more , I've had some real bargains from them , there sale and shop assistances are excellent . hc :lol: good luck shopping there.

This morning i ordered a combination water stone(to use at college, save me taking my separate stones) from axminster. andminutee after ordering #-oidd forgot to order a Nagura stone. i emailed them, to ask one to added to my order. within two hours i got a email saying a nagura stone has been added to my order

one of the many reasons why i use axminster, and that the fact my local tool shop owners are grumpy, unhelpful, and excessively priced!

Axminster are consistently good, the only thing I'd say is just check you can't buy it anywhere else cheaper as Axminster have been really pushing up the prices over the last year.
