I'm thinking of building a compact workbench.
4x2"
18mm plywood case and 6x2 top.
Floor boards for the drawers.
Not sure if I want to dovetail the drawers or use screws

Hoping to rationalise all my hand tools down to fit into this workbench.

On castors so it can be moved.

I take it you are challenged for space. I would advise you to have the top overhang at the front and ends so you can use clamps to hold stuff.
Will help reduce the amount of dust and shavings getting in the drawers too. If you want to use holdfasts or similar then leave some space between the top drawer and the bench top.

John

If tight for space, a wheeled bench isnt really going to make space, rather you're just shifting it about, but it still occupies valuable floor space.

So what about a wall mounted folding bench ?.

I've seen a few over the years and some even incorporate a cabinet, so when folded up the tools are hidden behind.
