Dear UKW Forum
My kids and I are setting up a hobby woodworking shop in the back of our garage in Switzerland. I am looking at the Domato Maccine Andromeda Super, combined machine. It seems much less expensive than other new (and in some csaes even used) combined machines by other manufacturers. And advice to either go in this direction or to reconsider and look to other brands? Many thanks and regards. RZ

It looks like a nice hobby type machine.
(If this is what you are referring to:https://www.dmitaliasrl.com/en/combination-machines/combination-andromeda-super.php )
My experience with Italian made machines is that they look fine and work well when new.
Second hand ones, best avoided.
Spindle diameter 40 mm? Most cutters are 30, so that's an issue.
Also it's a 'horizontal miller' and safety-wise, I'd give it a miss.
Apart from this, the other features seem OK.

edited: Just saw that there is no saw height adjustment, so better look for something else.

Hello,

Have you noticed that the tablesaw is handed opposite to convention? It is a very peculiar machine!

Mike.

A sliding table that isn't dead on accurate...and just as importantly, stays accurate....well it's worse than nothing at all.

Pigs will fly before any machine at that price has a reliably accurate sliding table.

Just saying.

A lot of lower end combination machines have this or similar compromise, as the planer, mortiser, table saw..share the same arbor and motor.
