Hi. I've replaced the pair of filters in my airshield pro with a new pair because they were starting to be quite dirty/dusty and been in a while. The airflow was still acceptable, not blocked. The filters are quite expensive and I was wondering if it is possible to wash the old ones to clean them. I've read posts where people discuss vacuuming them to get the dust out and using compressed air to blow them clean from the inside. I have vacuumed my filters before now, but does anyone know if there is a reason not to get the dust and particles out by washing (gently by hand with mild detergent to prevent physical damage) ? Is the filter material coated to trap particles and would washing remove this? Many thanks for any suggestions/comments.
