I have been reading the piece in British Woodworking re. the new book "Classic Forms" where the author has spent 17 years researching into the classic forms from architecture and furniture and producing a practical guide/templates for craftspeople and designers to work from.

Thinking about the shapes of hand tools and in particular the shapes of handles, is there a similar book on this subject?
I know Bugbear (?) published some saw handle profiles and Alf did one for a London style chisel but it would be nice to see some details/profiles of other handles which are considered "Classic".

I realise this is down to personal choice and fit but some shapes must work better than others?
