Im normally a buy cheap, buy twice guy but im currently unemployed and therefore skint so cant afford premium brands.

Is it worth getting clarke tools? they looks ok quality and are nice and cheap?

I was hoping to buy used but because of the nature of the work, they are all dusty so im put off as I cant really see the condition of them.

I think you have answered your own question - buy cheap buy twice - they are that sort of tool.

What sort of tools are you interested in as they do an enormous range?
I have a few Clarke things (a bench grinder for one) and they are OK for the money - but you get what you pay for?
I used a Clarke T/S with a Norm Extension Table for years, but they are very noisy.

Personally with a bit of knowledge buying good quality S/H tools is the way to go?
