Having some trouble tracking down saw blades.

Need a 200mm for the Kity 419. Current blade has 18 teeth so looking for similar (most of the use is ripping).

Also the mitre saw, - 210mm with 24 teeth. Might increase the number of teeth for a smoother cut.

Tried Axminster and Rutlands catalogues with no success.

Not looking to spend a fortune if I can help it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi,

Ask to speak to Martin at CRM Saw in Waterlooville, Hampshire. They are very helpful and will be able to source what you need. They're on the web so google them and they come up.

My Kity combi uses the same saw parts, I usually use CMT blades from Axminster. You probably missed them as Axminster list the 200mm blades part way down the size list :?

For ripping try the series 290 with 24T code 300160-14

MDF & Ply series 285 with 48T 300125-14

Faced boards series 280 64T 300112-14

The Freud blades also get good reports

Thanks for the replies, - all helpful.

Didn't see the Axminster one so far down the list!!

Still can't seem to find any 210mm blades though.

Suggestions?

Jason,

Many thanks for the links, - why can't I find this stuff

Those Toolstation blades look amazingly cheap. Being something of a tight@rse they appeal but then the old 'you get what you pay for' comes screaming in to my mind!!

Decisions, decisions, decisions. :D

Hi stuartpaul,

Hope you dont mind me replying to your question!

We were Est in 1953 and have been saw doctors aswell as supplying saw blades ever since.

I have your blades in stock at our shop in Bedford, and im sure you are aware that your 210 mitre blade needs to have a negative hook angle.

If you need a price just let me know as we do mail order also.

Thanks,

Tom

When I had my Kity 419 I fitted a 216mm dewalt 60 series chopsaw blade with the teeth reground to positive rake which when wound fully up just clipped the aluminium table, no harm done and it gave me nearly 70mm depth of cut. Superb blade too but dear.
