I had an irritating click develop on my bandsaw that sounded like a weld catching on the guides. I haven't changed a blade for a while and haven't had any nasty catches or anything so I ran my finger around the blade on both sides but found nothing. I opened the bottom door, spun the wheel by hand and by chance noticed the cylinder that tensions the belt moving - it was floating outwards and hitting the wheel. There was no circlip on it. I have owned the saw from new (13 years) and have never taken it off so I wonder how it came off and where it went. It did slow me down a little but fortunately I have a box of circlips and a set of circlip pliers.:)

I've had a couple wear through and fall apart on garden machinery in the past but the remains are usually somewhere to be found. Guess you have very good dust extraction
