Hi lads/lasses I need help in finding a place a stockist that sells really small chuck keys as I have lost my key for my flexishaft wecheer power tool!
I have tried the smallest key you can buy in the shops etc but way to big as the tool I use is like a dremel but with twice the power for engraving carving etc or just to use as a dremel but you have a foot pedal anyway I'm stuck I cannot use it without the chuck key do any of you out there have any ideas help etc? Thanks in advance andy.

i think your best bet is to contact the Chinese manufacturer. Web site here:-

http://www.wecheer.com/index.php?lang=en

I am unable to help further because I do not have a model or part number.

Wecheers Customer Service enquiry form includes the ability to ask questions in English.

Also try asking whoever you bought it from in UK if still available

There's a good video on there shows the same flexishaft I have..andy.

Any idea of width of key? i have a small key from a small chuck( never found out what it came from).

luffcandy,

I have found that Chinese companies prefer to use their enquiry forms and do not "get-understand " english style emails. Also keep language simple. Possible that the potential order is too small for them to notice.

Where did you buy it from originally.

Hi just found out its a 4 MM CHUCK KEY I NEED LADS..ANY HELP OUT THERE?

Best cure I've found over the years is to get a spare item that may cause a work stoppage as soon as possible once you have recognised it.

That way you end up with a complete stock of various obscure spares long after the original equipment has turned up it's toes without ever letting you down or the loosing of the essential tool. It's certainly the best way I know to make sure a drive belt never fails.

You have a point Chas.

I bought a spare set of knives when I got my planer/thicknesser (On the basis that such things would only increase in price.) Problem is I can't remember where I put them. (No hope for some of us!)

Well lads I feel a lot happier today I will still carry on trying to get another 1 but untill then I'm gonna tie it tol the tool ..
