I'm making a pull out larder unit for one of my kitchen cabinets and after some chrome bar or pole to act as a retainer on the shelves. Does anyone know of any suppliers of chrome bars. Size approx 10mm diameter

I've looked in B&Q but they only seem to have wardrobe fittings which is approx22mm in dia. This would be too big

B&q do some nice 10mm alloy bar,or you could always use 12.5 mm chrome copper tube ( radiator gear.)
If you cut it with a pipe cutter you'll get a clean cut. :)

Woodfit do a 6mm chrome gallery rail in 1m lengths or you could use the chrome plated alloy tube that is used for the Blum internal tandenbox draw fronts, this is 11mm OD and comes 1095mm long.

If you could get away with satin then look up stainless steel stockholders in yellow pages and get some 303 or 304 rod, spin it up in a lathe or drill and use scotchbrite or W&D to get a satin brushed look.

Ironmongery direct also do a 12mm OD chrome plated steel tube in 2500mm lengths and various fittings to suit

Thanks for replys. As always, an answer to a problem always appears. Ironmongery direct seems to fit the bill. Will contact them next week.
