My Sip 305mm chopsaw had intermittently stopped on a few occasions, but now finally "given up"...not had much use!!
Fuse checked ok...its a 1600w induction 2900rpm unit.
Could it be something in the starter switch?

Any advice appreciated.

Gerry

Check that the brushes are not worn down or stuck, the former should not happen if lightly used but worth a check.

Disconnect, not just switched off from power before dismantling.

(Although "Induction" would seem to indicate no brushes)

Is it the two speed version ? If so I have the rexon rebadge .. I had similar intermittent problems . I removed the toggle button out of the switch and cleaned it out . It had become full of wood dust and stopped the contacts meeting .#

Hope this helps

Dusty
