My son and daughter-in-law are both Rangers and work in the countryside. Occasionally they ask me i f i want some Oak, this is in basic form ie a part of a tree.
At present i was offered an oak bough about 10-12in diameter and 6 feet long (sorry cant think well in millipedes). They are cutting this for me into 3/4in sliced as i want to make a set of table place mats that look rustic, leaving the bark on an all.
Obviously this is green and would need drying out some.
Would any one be interest in some blanks say 1 to 2 feet long 12 in dia. It would need to be picked up from my house. It's not a steady stream and i would need to post here as and when it comes up.
There would be a small charge just to cover fuel costs getting from their place of work to my place.
