Case for Vienna Regulator

I've always fancied having a Vienna Regulator clock and making the case for one. I recently bought a twin weight mechanism and would like to have a chat with anyone who has made such a case.

Can't say I've made a regulator case but can highly recommend

Haven't made one - just made a few bits to replace wormy ones on an old family VR clock. But as well as the book recommended, there have been one or two designs in Woodworker in the past - I could look them out and scan for you if interested.

We have one, in fact it is a Gustav Becker movement with chime in Walnut c1890. I do not think I would ever want to make one as the age has more appeal the the craftsmanship, in fact the carcass is,as with most Vienna Regulators very rudimentary, schoolboy woodwork in fact. I am happy to taken some detail photos of it and supply dimensions if you feel you really want to have a go. You can always buy a Gustav Becker movement on-line they can be temperamental and they don't like to be moved
