Cable entry in cupboard door - help please

Hi i don't understand how you would have something plugged in the cupboard and bring it out with out unpluging it with the wire through a hole ,if the plug is in the cupboard surely the wire at somepoint be in the way of the door when you shut the door maybe i am being thick.
would be a good trick to see.

The hole in this case is a notch or slot.

Thank-you everyone for your helpful and creative ideas. I had a good look at the kit and discussed with the customer.
The final decision is a 45° cut off the top corner of the door.
IMHO, it’s not the neatest solution but the customer is happy
I will be making it slightly larger and fitting edge strip.
