Buzzing Consumer Unit

Hello all

Do any sparks on here know why a consumer unit would be buzzing loudly?

I came downstairs this morning to hear a really loud buzzing from the main consumer unit into the house. There wasn't any high load items on just lights, it did it for a few minutes and stopped. Should I get a professional in to check it out?

Could be a switch problem when it comes back and it will, just switch them off until you find it then replace.

Is it definately the CU? Our electric meter (PAYG) buzzes or beeps to warn us that we're nearing the end of our credit.

Just a thought.
