Bearing in mind how few and far between LA jacks are right now, I'd snap that one up. Hell, in another month or so you'll probably be able to sell it for what they cost brand new not that long ago...

Slightly left field choice but at £30 on Amazon I couldn't say no. I've been intrigued by Ulmia table saws so I'm looking forward to putting this odd fella to work.

with a single iron, it'll have relatively limited use (rough work or planing very agreeable wood).

Is that actually brand new?

With a double iron, that type of plane is a champ in all things that can be planed.

Yes, brand new on amazon.co.uk. But it is a single. I shall look for an upgrade to double

It's still a dandy plane - if you set it up for relatively rough work, you will find a use for it.

For 30 pounds new, just delightful - the continental woodies without the metal contraptions in them are serious planes for serious work. It would cost as much here for one used.

Yeah, it's a nice little plane. Just used it to finish a scrap wood mini workbench that has been sitting around for weeks waiting to be planed.
