Does anyone know of a good online supplier of finishing products, Axminster seems a bit short on the more speciallised products.

These are trade suppliers so do not really have an on-line retail service but if you open an account they will deliver free of charge.

Make sure you negotiate a decent discount to be applied to your account for all purchases. I get 40% from Morrells.

The other one to try is that Terry Chestnut bloke. I'm sure he'll be along shortly!

Who, me?

It all depends what you mean by 'specialised products'. Retailers (including online) will only keep lines that sell at least reasonably well for them, the more obscure stuff can just sit on the shelf gathering dust and probably be unusable by the time it is sold.

We see ourselves as mainly retail, supplying somewhat specialist products for woodworkers in sizes that non-trade users will be happy with (500ml and 1 ltr), but we don't supply lacquers with 25 diferent solid content levels or 7 different sheens, we have enough trouble getting shelf space from our customers as it is!

for your imformation Richard Barry`s closed down about 18 months ago. A pity as I had used them from the time they had a outlet up by the level crossings. Miss them!!
