I've found a fallen and partly cut up elm with significant burring on it.
Now let's not worry for the moment about the legal side of obtaining the wood !
What I do need to know is how to check if the burrs are worth pursuing, and (ummm) we did liberate one 15k lump with two good sized burrs on it, how do I cut them off to get full benefit of them ?
