I have been given a very old Burgess bandsaw which has an aluminium type finish.
I can see a model number on it and has probably worn off.
The machine works fine but the blade kept coming off. On taking off the cover I soon realised that the bottom left hand pully was moving sideway slightly causing the blade to run off.
I attempted to tighten it but failed to do so as the thread on the bolt had stripped. It isnt just a simple bolt as it carries a solid part in the middle that goes through the pully and allows it to spin freely.
Can anyone advise where I might buy one of the bolts please or is the only answer to find someone who could make on for me, its such a pity because this old machine is so well made. Thanks
