Really enjoyed this one, so much so I'll give you a sit rep before it's finished on Monday.
Site recce-ed about 2 months ago with all dims taken, photographs and a number of sketches from the client given. Themed around child's play room, TV room etc. TV and media on the left, ikea storage baskets on the right with various adjustable shelving. Given the constraints of working in 350mm deep alcoves and ikea boxes of 300mm deep AND wanting a small reveal showing. Had to go with 3mm backs, 22mm doors with 9mm panels with a rebate on the backs to reduce to 6mm to work with Axi Ogee rail stile cutter.
Had EVERY thing cut for me at Avonplywood including, stiles, rails, panels, filler strips (over sized by 10mm) grooves CNC-ed and it was brilliant! Essentially had a flat pack to assemble doors to machine, no cutting was needed. Had it together in a day, tweaked the doors etc the following day and delivered. This is where I'm at after a few hours this morning. Tools used, ujk cast iron router table, RO90, makita drills, Senco PC1010 and brad nailer (love that thing!) where did I put my Paslode...various hand tools on site. Have a domino but didn't use it, pinned together for alignment and then countersunk and screwed.
Cornice to do, few support pieces and scribes to do.

Then I had to take my little girl puddle jumping like Peppa in the afternoon, she says I work too much!!

I think she was happy!

Nice job I like the door set you use. I just use the plain t & g set and if and when people want something a bit more fancy I can just add a softwood moulding.

+1, very tidy job though. I think I might have been tempted to put a rail under those shelves in the left alcove - what's the span? Also, what's happening with the tall centre opening on the RHS unit?

Thanks, Pete

Cheers guys. Yes I'm putting a rail under the shelf on the left, set back about 10-20mm and 50mm deep. Right unit will have a load of shelves from base to top all adjustable on 5mm pins, I used the Kreg shelf pin jig. Span on the left is 1100 internal, lower shelf and upright support are also screwed through the rear 9mm back, shelves in between are moveable. Shelf Unit is 320mm deep. I welcome criticism, advice and guidance. More pics to follow, thanks again.

Gotcha. Yes, it makes a huge difference getting the sheet manuals cut - even when you already have the track saw etc... Your workshop looks about the same size as mine, and as I'm sure you know, it's hard enough putting together what you're making in a space that size, let alone having to manhandle 8x4s in there as well!

Cheers, Pete
