Building a water wheel

I've just been asked whether I can build a water wheel to power a rotisserie! Does anyone have any experience of building one, and if so any alive that you might be able to share?!

The International Boat Training College (IBTC) in Lowesoft built a large water wheel some time ago, might be worth contacting them for advice.

Might be asking on Navitron renewable energy forum as few members have experience with full sized water wheels. Principles should be the same regardles of size.
