What exactly is wrong with wealth inequality?
It doesn't matter what the top earners get, it's what the rest of the people get which is the critical factor and has the most bearing on the quality of life of the average person. Wealth inequality is a nonsense argument of the hard of thinking.
I'm not sure if this is supposed to be taken as a serious comment, or you're just trying to rage bait people. I've read your full comment, but this first statement tells more than enough of a story to understand the kind of person you might be. Have you looked into why wealth inequality might be a problem? Or maybe you've heard this comment elsewhere?

Yes, true in many ways wealth is not a problem.

You are getting there! Poverty is the problem! Well done!
Wealth inequality is a nonsense argument of the hard of thinking.
Ask the question "how would you remedy the poverty problem" and the simplest solution is to look at wealth inequality and see how this could be adjusted to to alter the balance. Would a diagram help?
As for quality of life, all I've seen so far from this government is a damaging budget where the private sector has been hit with unprecedented taxes to fund the public sector's 5.9 million workers.
I don't see any measures they've taken that would encourage economic growth which was promised.
Funding 5.9million workers would help enormously to stimulate economic growth. What goes around comes around. They don't generally stash it away, they run out and spend it, not necessarily on booze and fags either.

There simply hasn't been the infrastructure provision/investment to keep pace with the growth in population s......
You are right. Putting the money in to construct the infrastructure would rectify the problem and also create jobs, stimulating economic growth. 3 birds one stone! Economies don't grow out of austerity - they shrink and stagnate, as you seem to have noticed. It was a very silly idea to start with (1979).

It is reported (but without a name, so might just be fake news) that the first suicide has happened to avoid the taxes.

As I say, without more details it may just be fake news - however, nearer April when the tax comes in we may see a few decide that dying early is a way to save their farms for the next generation.
I remember after the foot and mouth outbreak, the farmer who had our caravan on his farm committed suicide - very sad...
