I’m looking for a budget electric hand planer to plane some rough sawn larch sleepers. I would probably have gone for the cordless Erbauer for a little extra convenience as I have their impact driver / battery / charger but they appear to be out of stock everywhere. Otherwise, cordless isn’t really a requirement. Seems there are quite a few sub-£65 - Screwfix alone have 4 or 5 and I don’t know how to choose!
Any recommendations or guidance? I don’t want to pay the price of the bigger brands as I don’t really expect to use it regularly after this job (a lot of power tools just seem to enable me to make faster mistakes!)
