Hi all,

Just cleaning up my Bs350 and found that the rise and fall is fouling the upper wheel, I hadn't noticed a problem with it before.

Is it safe to adjust the mechanism, if so how (there aren't any instructions in the manual)?

Seems to be a common design flaw. My axminster 350 also does that. And in a previous life I had a small Fox bandsaw with exactly the same fault.
As long as it only fowls when at the top of its travel, just set it lower and ignore it.

I was just about to mention the two bolts. Having removed that a few times when making changes, if you don't get it just right it will catch the blade. ................................................ another learning curve.

I also found it helpful to remove about 1-2" off the bottom of theat as it makes the blade easier to see when cutting.

Alex, 1 to 2 inches off the bottom of what?

That's right Mike. I found the blade guard rather long and by removing a couple of inches, it gave a far easier view of the blade when cutting.

However, depending on what you us your saw for, you may never need to do this.

I have thought of doing this myself, but not got the right OTuit yet. (hammer)
