brushes for axminster awsms10 mitre slide saw

Motor wouldn't start yesterday, so released one of the brushes (it was badly worn) and it restarted after reinsertion.

Cannot find my manual or find it at the Axminster web page.

Anyone taken apart one of these Axminster saws to service or is it a real pain? Switches are also looking a bit strained it is 6 years old but very handy tool.

Is it worth the bother?

Have you tried calling or e-mailing Axminster directly? Brushes shouldn't cost much at all and it's worth trying a new set before you start taking the saw apart (!). I suppose the downside is the postage cost (unless you're also ordering other things?), which could quite possibly outweigh the cost of the brushes!
