For £15 I think I'd rather just cut the ring wire. In fact I only have 2 connected wires in my box so I guess I've already done it.

Another way of increasing bandwidth, i.e. getting the speed you paid for, is to cancel any subscription to AOL. That also swells your bank balance, in comparison to other ISP's.

What puts me off is the ache in the groin of informing all my contacts, I have a new email address and thoughts of frying pans and fires!

Get on Virgin Media, fibre optic wired broadband always!

That sounds good, but also there's gonna be some disruption laying the cables. Unfortunately SWIMBO doesn't want cable. She believes it's the first step towards purgatory, a rubbish phone line and the dreaded 'Sky'! On the other hand she still thinks tumble dryers are a luxury and dishwashers don't work very well!

:)

Sounds like Technology passed your wife by John. My wife is up to date with technology but hasn't a clue how to use it. ( She has a degree in Electrical Engineering but struggles with the remote control) OOh! just thought she was behind me there.

Not so much passed by Mailee, as ignored so it would go away. One bad story about dishwashers from some acquaintance twenty odd years ago, and no way will she have one in the house!

On the other hand, my Lady is one fine cook and she never moans about my woodwork... Not even when I had planks of oak in stick, in the lounge extension, settling down for someone else's dining suite!

Oooops she;'s behind me!
