Brand new wood turner

Hi all

I have recently become the owner of a Myford ML8 and am very excited to learn how to turn small projects.

I came across this site from a Google search for instructions and thought it would be a great aid as I learn how to set up the lathe and practice the basics.

Looking forward to getting started as soon as I can.

Same advice as always - get a copy of - woodturning a foundation course - Google Search

Loads around, the newer editions have a DVD.

Where in Cornwall are you? You will find joining a club invaluable, Home - Cornwall Association of Woodturners is at Wheal Jane (there are others).

I am also a novice woodturner with a ML8. I have done the two day course at Yandles, Martock. I thoroughly recommended it.
