Just a quick question, have you used the router with the 8mm collet ? I have this router and it is a great little machine but was told the 8mm collet only fits european spec routers and not UK ones.

Quote "Suitable for use with the Bosch GKF 600 version where the hole in the armature for the collet to go into is 10mm (not suitable for the 8mm version)"

thanks

Yes a great little router that would be much more useful if it accepted an 8mm collet, just a very silly oversight by Bosch. Maybe I need to look around for another corded brand that takes both 1/4 & 8mm collets !

Mine accepts an 8mm and 6mm but not the 1/4". There are several versions of This router. I quite like mine but very annoying I cant use it with all my older bits.

Mine were stolen, I went to replace them and discovered the makita cordless and ended up with 2 of those and the track to go with it which I printed the holder for.
Seems just as strong as the bosch but the track in the bosch only fits bosch whereas makita is the same as everyone elses
