I'd love to get other sizes but the cost of buying is extremely high, and the left hand thread makes it impossible to make without a lathe.

A search on an internet sales site came up with numerous diameters and lengths of left hand threaded rod.

My problem with self assembling something like this is a logistics thing. Living in Cyprus, if I get even small items sent the shipping rapidly adds up to the cost on new. The ironmonger shops here have a lot of stuff, but so far have not seen any LHT rods.
I also dont have much in the way of metal machining any more (no welder, no lathe).
This is a project I suppose I COULD do, but dont quite need them badly enough to spare the time to experiment . :roll:
If somebody else had a batch going cheap, or ready made plans, i would be very interested.
