It's a very good plane, but I found it a bit bulky for my hand. I sold it and bought a LN 60 1/2, which is slightly narrower. I preferred the adjustments on the Veritas block though.

+1...agree on all counts :wink: plus the LN has an adjustable mouth and the LV don't iIrc - Rob

The Veritas low-angle block plane that I linked to does have an adjustable mouth.

...the one I picked up at Rycotewood didn't though, so I got hold of the wrong block :oops:
The one that I think your refering too though Paul, is still a bit bulky for my taste

For that you can get a serious Block Plane.

Your best bet is to try as many as you can at the show. It must be comfortable in your hand and work like a dream. At that price you don't need to compromise.
